Purpose of Privacy Policies
Your privacy is very important to us. Please read these Privacy Policies carefully. Love-a-Lunch provides these policies because we believe you should know what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the circumstances under which we may disclose it. These Policies cover Love-a-Lunch’s treatment of information that we obtain when you visit our website, www.lovealunch.com (the “Site”), and when you register to become a user of the Love-a-Lunch service (the “Service”). Some of this information is “personally identifiable information,” which we define as information that someone can use to identify or contact you, such as name, telephone number, birthdate, email address, or mailing address.

These Policies do not cover the privacy practices of third parties that we do not own or control, such as the schools that have enrolled in the program to provide Love-a-Lunch meals to their students (“Participating Schools”). In addition, we may provide links to other websites that may interest our users. All of these third-party sites, including any Participating School site, operate independently of Love-a-Lunch and may have their own privacy or security practices. Please review their applicable policies before submitting information to them.

There are no official standards for privacy practices on the Internet. However, we try to follow the principles supported by the Federal Trade Commission’s Fair Information Practices Principles, available at http://www.ftc.gov/reports/privacy3/fairinfo.htm.
Collection of Information
1. Participating Schools may provide Love-a-Lunch with relevant information that will assist us in serving your child, but it is not personally identifiable information. It includes first name, last name, school name, grade, teacher’s name, and in some cases classroom number.
2. A person can visit and browse our website at www.lovealunch.com without providing any identifying information. If your child is enrolled in a Participating School, and you would like to order meals for your child, you will first need to register and create an account. For details, please review the Terms of Service on this website. In creating an account, we collect your first name, last name, email, phone number and address. You will also need to provide a unique username and password to log in to the system. You will be required to enter a unique School Access Code that will be provided to you by Love-a-Lunch. You will be asked to identify your child by providing Love-a-Lunch with your first and last name, your child’s first and last name, School Access Code, grade, teacher’s name, and classroom number. Depending upon whether you wish to use a credit card or bank account to pay for these meals, you will also need to provide Love-a-Lunch with credit card or bank account and billing information.
3. As explained in our Terms of Service, the Service is available for children including those aged 13 and older. Love-a-Lunch does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. Should we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we have information from or about anyone under 13 years of age, please notify us by email at service@lovealunch.com or you may call us directly at 303-468-8263.
4. We only accept information about students through accounts established by a parent or guardian of a student. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to establish an account on the Site or provide information through the Site. Therefore, eligible students over the age of 13 and under the age of 18 should not access the site directly, but should work with a parent or guardian to access the Site.
5. We do not ask for or require social security numbers or birth dates to use the Service or allow access to the site. We also do not require that such information be provided to identify your child.
6. We do not use cookies, adware, or other Internet or software tools to gather information about visitors to the Site.
Use of Information
1. We use emails and/or prominent notifications on the Site as our primary means to inform our users of announcements. We may use your email address to deliver announcements, such as a request to reset a password, security or server maintenance updates, or changes to these Privacy Policies or our Terms of Service.
2. If you wish to pay for your child’s lunch program using a credit card or bank account, you will need to provide Love-a-Lunch with credit card or bank account and billing information. To guard your privacy, Love-a-Lunch does not store such information, which is used for the purposes of the particular transaction only. We will request your credit card information each time you create a new transaction. (Please see the next section below regarding sharing of information with our credit card merchant service.)
Disclosure of Information
1. All credit card transactions on the Site are performed by Dharma Merchant Services. You can learn more about Dharma at its website: http://www.dharmamerchantservices.com. Please review the privacy statements and terms of service at this and other websites you use online.
2. We reserve the right to disclose personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on
  Love-a-Lunch.
3. We do not share, rent, or sell personally identifiable information we collect about our users or our user base.
Security of Information
1. Your user information is password-protected. We will not share your password with anyone. To protect your privacy and the security of your account, please do not share your password with anyone, and change your password occasionally, to keep your user information secure.
2. We use encryption and security procedures to guard against unauthorized access to information stored in our computer system. Please be advised, however, that even with the best commercially reasonable security or encryption measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet are completely secure.
3. We also maintain procedural safeguards that limit access to your personally identifiable information to our employees who have a need to know such information to provide the Service to you and your child.
Revisions to these Privacy Policies
Love-a-Lunch services are evolving as we strive to meet your needs and the needs of the schools and community we service. We may review and revise these Privacy Policies as the needs of the Service require. We will notify you either by email or by placing a notice on the Site.
