Love-a-Lunch emerged as a grass roots effort to improve the quality, nutrition and taste of school lunches. We live to provide your children (and ours) with quality, healthy foods that taste great! Having adopted two beautiful children from China, we experienced first hand the nutrition deficit in children and knew we could make a difference. Children learn better when they eat smart, and when they eat smart it becomes a way of life. A goal of Love-a-Lunch is to have students and their families choose a healthy lifestyle by having healthy eating habits….Eat Smart, Think Smart, Live Smart! In researching school lunches, we were astounded to find out how many students were throwing complete lunches in the trash without taking a single bite. When the students were asked why they threw their lunch away, they stated that the food tasted bad and looked yucky. With Love-a-Lunch, lunches will not be thrown away! Wait until your child tries one of our snack brownies. They will not even know that they are eating zucchini, carrots, blueberries, spinach and dates. Kids at our taste testing always ask for more! Clever things like our Sandwich on a Stick makes eating creative and fun and the kids in our taste test enjoyed eating their meals! We look forward to bringing Love-a-Lunch to your school. Carrots are high in Beta Carotene which helps in healthy vision. They also help your heart and immune system be healthy. Carrots are also a great source of fiber and Vitamin C.
